THE YPG HOLIDAY PARTY IS FINALLY HERE!

This event will be an exclusive "only show up if you get an invitation" party that we would love for all young planners to register for and perhaps attend.

Why is this event exclusive? Well, for a variety of reasons including Ord. No. 164,035, Eff. 11/11/2010 that limits the amount of awesome individuals at any one structure at any one time. As well as the fact that we have a venue with limited space. Attendees will be selected on a first register first serve basis.

Even though most Holidays don't occur until the latter end of December, YPG wants to help all the young planners in the Los Angeles Region kick it off right. The event will be free but we will ask you to bring some sort of refreshment for the guests. So Join YPG-LA to celebrate the most timely of holiday traditions, "The Ugly Sweater Party"

When: 7:00pm Friday, December 3
Where: Downtown LA (Exact location will be found in the formal invitation if you're selected to come)

Please fill out the following form and we will notify you if you're selected by Nov. 31. RSVP here: http://tinyurl.com/YPGHoliday

If you have questions please contact us at ypglosangeles@gmail.com

Taco trucks and food vending has increasingly become a “hot” topic in more established urban environments due to economic factors and land use constraints. The taco truck craze has taken on new evolutions where corporate entities are gentrifying the industries seemingly squeezing out the traditional taco truck entrepreneurs. The discussion aims to focus on the Los Angeles County and City ordinances and the complex road facing planners as they try to resolve the demand for mobile food vending with land use constraints while being sensitive to the traditional ethnic origins of taco trucks as technology evolves the industry.

Panelists: Gabriela Juárez, City of Los Angeles City Planning Department & Wendy Carrillo, M.A., Ethnojournalist

About Self Help Graphics:
SHG is a nationally recognized center for Latino arts that develops and nurtures artists in printmaking. SHG seeks to advance Latino art through programming, exhibitions and outreach to diverse audiences in East Los Angeles and beyond.
